MARIUPOL'

The flag

It was confirmed in December, 22nd, 1994 by the decision of city council session.

In the center of the blue rectangular panel with sides ratio 2:3 is city emblem. It is surrounded by a wreath from yellow leaves, intertwined in top and bottom sides by yellow ribbon, with red inscription of city name on the Ukrainian, Russian and Greek. At the bottom of the wreath is escutcheon per fess by azure and black, on it is yellow Orthodox cross, based on inverted white crescent. Along the perimeter of the flag passes yellow bordure (1/80 of flag width), on the edges is pattern from yellow and red squares.
