The modern emblem
It was confirmed in August, 14th, 2008 by the decision of region council session.
Tierced in pairle reversed. First Gules; peasant-Cossack Argent with invitingly raised hands with a spear in right and lighted torch in left. Second Argent; tree Vert. Third Azure; composition from three fish Or forming a circle. The shield is crowned by sun Or with straight rays superimposed on a baroque pattern, and framed by wreath of oak leaves and corn Vert, entwined by blue and yellow ribbon. In the bottom of the wreath is bunch of viburnum with leaves.
